Huis van Chevallerie, situated in the picturesque foothills of the Paardeberg Mountain in the Swartland, with it’s vistas of azure blue African skies, rolling wheat and canola hills with interspersed by a treasure trove of old bushvines.

Here on the family owned Farm Nuwedam, Christa von La Chevallerie greets you personally, the celebrated winemaker, is now farmer and creative director of her own Huis van Chevallerie- Vonkelweijn. Meticulously handcrafted Sparkling wines from 40 year old low yielding bushvines. All is Bottle fermented. Exuding a compote of fruit flavours coupled by the typical tell-tale Paardeberg mineral finish. Celebrate with the first finest Vonkelwijn from the heart of the Swartland, where folks greet anyone with a smile, and lazy luncheons turn dinners…..You’ll always ask for more….

Filia, 100% Chenin Blanc Kap Klassiek, btl matured for 14 months with a Zero dosage, currently on the 2014 vintage also available in Magnums Circa, 100% Pinotage Italian inspired Rosecco matured for 6 months, with a slight dosage to tingle the tastebuds.

We accept bookings from visitors from near and far, please do make a booking as Christa is a single woman running all shows of the 110ha farm.

Group bookings for a farm walk visit, tasting adjacent platters or even lunch or dinner / braai (weather permitting) we accept from min of 4 people to a max of 12. Please be sure to book as we only prepare if booked.
